Pineapple Pies Problem Solving

James is making pineapple pies.He needs ⅔  of a pineapple to make one pie how many pineapple pie can he make with 12 pineapples? I had 12 Pineapple  i split it into ⅔ and then shaded 2 in each pineapple and then count the leftovers and circle 2 to make one pie and you will end up with six so then it will be 12 + 6 =18

Swimming At School

On Monday 16th of February 2015 after lunch we had swimming at the school swimming pool.

We are learning swimming so that we are safe around water. We are learning the simple skill like freestyle, underwater, breathing under water, floating and diving. Miss. D taught us some skills and Mrs. R was supervising us.

Firstly we were changed into our swimming togs. Then we jumped  into the cold pool it was very cold but we enjoyed it because it was a hot day. We swam with the goggles to protect our eyes from chlorine in the water.

Later we were in our groups to practice various swimming skills. We all like swimming because it is fun as well as happy that we won’t drown when we get into bigger pools or even in the ocean.I tried my best to practice the skills that I have learnt  but my breathing was too difficult under water. Miss D was a great helper and Mrs. Ravi too stayed and helped those who couldn't swim.

Finally learning to swim is very important because we might drown and we won't be able to survive in water. NZ has soooooo much water everywhere. Swimming is super cool.

That there was a lot of sweet taste in the jelly beans

When my nose was block it taste blank and it has no taste to it when i took my hand off i had taste the jelly bean and i had  lime.

Materials:

• Your hand
• Your nose
• your mouth
• Some of jelly beans

Procedure:

1.Your hands to blindfold you

2.Block your nose

3.A jelly bean in your hand

4.Eat the jelly bean

5.Taste

Observations:

It taste blank when you block your nose.

When you take your hand off you taste the jelly bean.

Conclusion:

I thought it will taste normal when you block your nose but when you unblock your nose you just have this yummy taste to it.

Its were the hens live in and stay in day and night.

I prefer Free range because they need there own space.

High Jump and Running

Today,Tuesday the 21st  room 10 did a practice of high jump for athletics and went for a run.

In the high jump I tried to jump over but I was too close to the rope, and I missed my jump.

Improved my technique as I practiced over and over. Moli,Hannah and Siosifa had the highest jump of 1 metre 24.

Next we went for a run after we did the high jump.  I was not running, I was too tired, so I walked.
