War Poem

Dark clouds coming by
Red tears crying from the sky
Hearing people shoot their guns
Captain shouting from the top of his lungs
Making their family worried at home
That one day they'll never return
As a few return but looks less
Soldiers scruffy and all a mess
Feeling down but head back up
Soldiers taking sips of soup in a cup
Hurt in the body, hurt in the mind
people can't see we know there blind
Till they lay there in there bed
They wonder and think if it is the end

I really enjoyed your poem Erina and was so proud at assembly today when you presented with so much confidence. You have captured so much emotion in this poem. Well done.
